Catch up on our summer of fun!
It was our immense pleasure to host the first ever Grace & Gravity Summer Festival in June to celebrate the longest day of the year and raise important awareness and funds for the charity Papyrus, Prevention of Young Suicide.
Howbery Park transformed into a space filled with activity, smiles and sparkles in June as we welcomed our community in to celebrate this year’s summer solstice in style. Our stall holders were busy selling beautiful treasures all day and each free yoga session was packed full of excited and willing participants.
Our family yoga space provided a chance for loved ones to connect while learning something new. Our flight zones for both kids and adults saw some students trying aerial hoop for the first time and loving it! Our harmony hub was filled with beautiful yogis reconnecting with themselves and the earth guided by our amazing teachers. And we even saw families head out onto the river to try SUP and wild swimming, a welcome treat on one of the hottest days of the year!
As well as wanting to bring our community together for some summer fun, our event was completely in aid of Papyrus. We are thrilled to have raised a huge £900 for the charity so thank you to everyone who donated money, time, a raffle prize, hosted a stall, and took part in our charity raffle.
PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide is the UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people.
Suicide is the biggest killer of people aged 35 and under in the UK and Papyrus believes that many suicides are preventable.
Today, they are a leading youth suicide prevention charity in the UK. Their suicide prevention helpline, HOPELINE247, is staffed by trained suicide prevention advisers, who work with young people – and anybody concerned for a young person – to help keep them safe from suicide. HOPELINE247 is a free and confidential call, text, and email service, which is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year (weekends and bank holidays included).

Over the summer holidays we have welcomed many along to our kids aerial workshops and our family circus workshops. It’s been great to see so many of you learning new skills and connecting as a team. These workshops are a great space to explore aerial skills but we also offer grounded sessions and adult only workshops if there is something you really want to hone in on outside of your normal classes.
Keep an eye on our workshops page and let us know if there is a workshop you’d like to see added to the schedule!
As well as all of our Summer fun we have welcomed the latest edition to the G&G team. Our founder Yasmin gave birth to her second beautiful daughter Zara on 8 August. Mum and baby are both doing well and her big sister Amelie is helping out with lots of snuggles. I’m sure you will join us in saying Congratulations to Yasmin and family from our amazing G&G community.
